VANI KAPOOR TAKES THREE-SHOT LEAD IN THIRD LEG OF HERO-WGAI GOLF

Bangalore, Sept 4: Vani Kapoor, playing her maiden season as a professional opened a three-shot lead over her former amateur rival Aditi Ashok and Nalini Singh Siwach in the opening round of the third leg of the Hero-WGAI Women’s Pro Golf Tour at the Prestige Golfshire golf course.

The 18-year-old DLF golfer, Vani, who lost in a play-off in her maiden pro appearance last month played a steady round with just one bogey against two birdies, on the fifth and 11th. Her sole blemish came on the par-5 13th.

Aditi had a 74 with two birdies and four bogeys. Twof her bogeys came on second and third holes. Nalini was tied second at 74 with Aditi.

Tied in fourth place at 76 was Shraddhanjali Singh and the fifth place was shared by Smriti Mehra, winner last week, and Saaniya Sharma.
