119 football players chosen on 2nd day of talent hunt

A total of 119 players were chosen out of 700 players who had gathered at the Sector 17 Football Stadium to take part in the Aitel Rising Stars, the Under-16 soccer talent hunt, on Saturday. The final auditions would be held on Sunday at the St Joseph School Ground in Sector 44, and three talented football players would be chosen from Chandigarh region.
Each participant got ample opportunity to show his skills and put his case forward in front of the coaches and scouts who were keeping a vigil eye on them.
Spread over three months, the talent hunt have already been conducted in 14 Indian cities of Mumbai, Delhi, Panaji, Kolkata, Bangalore, Calicut, Shillong, Pune, Kochi, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Chennai, Hyderabad and Jaipur. Auditions for Chandigarh, Guwahati are being conducted and the three selected players along with goalkeeper's name, will be announced on Sunday.
Then, 12 talented footballers would be chosen and they will get the chance-of-a-lifetime to attend a week-long training camp at Manchester United Soccer Schools. The best three players from each of the 16 cities will be picked to attend a final six-day camp-cum-selection trial conducted by coaches from Manchester United.
