Rookie Vani Kapoor wins her maiden title as a pro at the 3rd leg of the Hero Women’s professional Golf Tour

 Keeping up with her consistent performance, Delhi Golfer Vani Kapoor proved her mettle today by winning her maiden title as a professional at the third leg of the Hero-WGAI Women’s Professional Golf Tour. Vani who showcased an extremely focused approach through out the tournament carded a below par score of one under 71 today finish with a total of 219 after 54 holes. Kolkata golfer Neha Tripathi came from behind to finish as the runner’s up in the tournament trailing by eight shots after three rounds.

On a day when most golfers struggled due to heavy winds, Vani breezed through her round finishing as the only one on the field to score a below par round. She finished with her final round score of one under 71 with two birdies on the fifth and the ninth hole and a solitary bogey on the 17th hole. 

Kolkata golfer Neha Tripathi, made a strong comeback today as she finished with a total score of 229 (77,77,73). Veteran golfer Smriti Mehra managed a third place finish with a total score of 229 (76,76,77) over 54 holes. Smriti had a tough day with bogeys on the first , fourth, ninth, 11th, 15th and the 18th hole, and a lone birdie on the seventh hole.

Delhi golfer Nalini Singh Siwach finished 4th with a total score of  230 (74,80,76) while Chandigarh golfer Saaniya Sharma finished fifth with a total score of 232 (76,81,75) after three rounds.
