7th All-India Defence Accounts Department Table Tennis Tournament

Chandigarh, 4th September, 2012: The players from Defence Accounts Department (DAD) will play to get the title of 7th All-India Defence Accounts Department Table Tennis Tournament tomorrow at Table tennis complex, Sector-23, Chandigarh. This was the three day tournament which was started on 3rd September. 

As many as 68 players (49 Male and 19 Female) from 24 offices of Defence Accounts Department from all over India participated in four categories  i.e  Men single, Men’s double, women single, women double in the tournament being organized under the aegis of Defence Accounts Sports Control Board (DASCB), New Delhi.

Todays Results are as under:

Men’s  Double Semi- Final :-
1st Match : Sh. Kaushik D. Sarkar and Sh. Debdoot Chatterjee of PC of (Fys) Kolkata beats Sh. Balbir Kumar and Vinod Kumar of PCDA (WC) Chandigarh by 11-04, 11-05 and 11-01.
2nd Match : Sh. Shantanu Saha and Amlan Patra of PC (Fys) Kolkata beats Sh. Raj Kumar Nelson and Soundra Rajan of CDA (Bangalore) by 11-08, 11-6 and 11-06

Men( Double) final  match will be played tomorrow between Sh. Kaushik D. Sarkar and Sh. Debdoot Chatterjee of PC of (Fys) Kolkata Vs Sh. Shantanu Saha and Amlan Patra of PC (Fys) Kolkata

WoMen’s  Double Semi- Final :-
1st Match : Smt Tapsi Sarkar and Swapna Mitra of PC of (FYS) Kolkata beats Julie Sawant and S.S Kakatkar of PCDA (SC) Pune by 11-4, 11-7 and 11-8

2nd Match : Smt Bharti M vegadekar and Upasani RS of PCDA (O) Pune beats Smt K. Vishnupriya and Smt Rajeshwari CF of A(Fys) Avadi by 11-5, 11-8 and 11-1

Women (Double) final will be played tomorrow betweenSmt Tapsi Sarkar and Swapna Mitra of PC of (FYS) Kolkata Vs Smt Bharti M vegadekar and Upasani RS of PCDA (O) Pune 

Women’s Semi-Final single:-
1st Match - Smt Tapsi Sarkar of PC of (FYS) Kolkata beats smt S.S Kakatkar of PCDA (SC) Pune by 11-2, 11-6, 11-7 and 11-3
2nd Match: Smt Manisha Mazumdar of PC of (fys) Kolkat beats smt Swapna Mitra of PC of (fys) Kolkata by 11-6, 11-3, 11-9 and 11-8

Women final match will be played tomorrow between Smt Tapsi Sarkar of PC of (FYS) Kolkata vs Smt Manisha Mazumdar of PC of (fys) Kolkata
