Mohali crash to innings defeat against Patiala

Patiala defeated Mohali by innings and 95 runs  and got 6 points including a bonus to take their league table tally to 10 points. Resuming at 22 for 1 Mohali were bundled out for 164 in 60.5 overs shortly after lunch. Sachin Sohal with an unbeaten 59 off 122 balls inclusive of 6 boundaries and Shine Sharma 28 were the main contributors with the bat.  Sandeep Sharma 3 for 32, Rajwinder Gollu 3 for 36 and Amitoze Singh 2 for 13 hastend the exit of Mohali batsmen.

In the 2nd match at Sector 26 Ground Chandigarh resuming at 173 for 2 were bowled out for 414 and were also awarded 64 penalty runs because of 8 overs bowled short by Amritsar team making the final total to 478. Overnight unbeaten skipper Uday Kaul was the first to go when he was snapped by the keepr off Sunny for 59. Simrat Bawa went on to complete a painstaking century 116 off 316 balls studded with 14 boundaries before snicking to Bhatia in first slip of off spinner Sumit. Thereafter Gurkirat Walia and Amit Prashar stitched a partnership of 121 runs for the 5th wicket before Gurkirat Walia was caught off Bharat Lumba for 68 off 123 balls studded with 9 boundaries. Amit Prashar also perished on the same total of 357 after scoring 77 off 96 balls studded with 9 boundaries and three towering sixes. Sunny 5 for 71 , Bharat Lumba 3 for 95 were the main wicket takers for Amritsar.
Amritsar were 25 for 2 in 17 overs in their 2nd innings at close of play. Manish Bhatia was unbeaten on 21 while Ajay Dalal 1 for 12 and Gaurav Gambhir 1 for 9 were the successful bowler for Chandigarh.

The 3rd match played at PAU Ludhiana between Ludhiana and Jalandhar, Ludhiana scored 288 for all  in their first innings. Jalandhar were bowled out for 268 in 78.2 overs thus conceding a vital 20 runs first innings lead to Ludhiana. For Jalandhar Pargat Singh 34, Himanshu  32, Sarabjit  38, Ishan Malhotra 54 and Yogesh  33 were the principal run getters. For Ludhiana Baltez Singh bowled a fiery and incisive spell of medium pace bowling and returned the flattering figures of 6 for 82. He was ably supported by Rahul Singla 2 for 42. Ludhiana in their second innings was 63 for no loss at close of 3rd days play with Nitin Goel unbeaten on 32 and Ashish Kumar unbeaten 27.
