Lalramzuava of GMHS-36D, CHD named caption in national team for AFC Tournament(U-16),lost to UZBEKISTAN by 2-3

Daniel Lalhlimpuia and Lalramzuava both IXth class students of Govt Model High School,Sector-36D,CHD and CFA Trainee are in national team for Asian Football Confederation(AFC) Tournament (U-16) 2012 held at Tehran from 23/9/2012 to 6/10/2012.
Lalramzuava of GMHS-36D, CHD named caption of Indian Nation team in this tournament.

In first match today India lost to UZBEKISTAN by 2-3 at Rah Ahah Stadium, TEHRAN .In qualifying Tournament India lost to UZBEKISTAN by 9-0.
India will play their next match against Syria on 25/9/2012.



Total 16 countries qualified in this Tournament. 39  countries participated in qualifying Tournament last year . In qualifying Tournament teams were divided in 8 groups.India qualified by defeating Kyrgyzstan(7-0),Bahrin(2-1),Tajikistan(4-1) but lost to Uzbekistan(0-9) at Tashkent in group C of qualifying Tournament.In qualification Tournament Daniel Lalhlimpuia and Arjit Lalramzuava both students of Govt Model High School,Sector-36D,CHD helped Indian National team to qualify by scoring 4 goals and made the school and nation proud . 


In Asian Football Confederation(AFC) Tournament (U-16) 2012 qualified 16 Teams are divided in 4 groups. India is placed in Group D with Uzbekistan, Syria and China P.R.  All matches of Group D are played at Rah Ahah Stadium, TEHRAN.

Prior to landing in Tehran, the Indian team played three warm up matches at Dubia. In warm up matches Daniel  Lalhlimpuia of
GMHS-36D,CHD  score 2 goals  and Arjit Lalramzuava of GMHS-36D,CHD score one goal.


Headmaster Mr.Rakesh Sood congratulated them on their performance and expressed his hope that they will perform better in remaining matches as the members of the Indian National Team and will make the school and nation proud.

T20 tri-series: Chameera's 4-fer against Pakistan leads Sri Lanka to final

Sri Lanka secured a spot in the T20 tri-series final. They beat Pakistan by six runs. Dushmantha Chameera's bowling was key with figures of 4-20. Kamil Mishra scored 76 for Sri Lanka. Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha made an unbeaten 63. Sri Lanka posted 184-5. Pakistan finished at 178-7.
