Sun finally shone brightly on 19th All India J.P. Atray Memorial Cricket Tournament sending cheers in the hearts of all the participating teams. PCC started their compaign against Maruti Suzuki at PCA Cricket Stadium Mohali on a winning note by defeating Maruti Suzuki by 52 runs and garner 5 points including a bonus. Left arm spinner Gurinder Singh of PCC won the man of the match award for his incisive spell of seven overs in which he captured 4 wickets for 17 runs.
Maruti Skipper Yashpal Singh won the toss and opted to field. Munish Bhatia and Karan Goel posted a 50 runs opening partnership in 8.2 overs before Karan Goel was castled by Jitender Billa for 16. Thereafter Taruwar Kohli in company of Munish Bhatia added 81 runs for the 2nd wicket before Munish Bhatia was stumped by Kailash Sen off left arm spinner Abhishek Sukuja for 78 off 66 balls studded with 8 boundaries and four huge sixes. Taruwar Kohli was next to go being caught by Mukesh Dagar off off spinner Digvijay Singh for 48 off 70 balls inclusive of 3 boundaries and one six.  PCC Innings ended at 242 for all in 43.3 overs. Abhishek Sukuja  4 for 38 and Dhruv Singh 2 for 38 were the main wicket takers for Maruti Suzuki.
Replying Maruti Suzuki folded for 190 in 38.2 overs.  Their charge was led by Mukul Dagar 80 off 73 balls studded with 10 boundaries and two sixes and Yash Pal Singh unbeaten 59 off 80 balls with 3 fours and one six. Dagar and Yash Pal put on 77 runs for the 4th wicket. At this stage Maruti was  145 for 4 in 25 overs. Then left arm spinner Gurinder Singh struck in succession and Maruti lost 4 wickets in the space of 9 runs. Gurinder Singh 4 for 17, Taruwar Kohli 2 for 20, Sandeep Sharma 2 for 23 and Barinder Singh 2 for 38 shared the spoils for PCC.

In the 2nd match played at GMSSS Sector 26, Chandigarh Air India defeated State Bank of Patiala by 3 wickets to garner 4 points while SBOP got  0. Batting first SBOP were bowled out for 185 in 45.1 overs. Ravi Inder Singh 53, Siddharth Kaul  33 being their principal run getters. For Air India Hiten Dalal  3 for 21 and Shakti Sherawat  2 for 33 were the main wicket takers. 
Replying Air India scored 188 for 7 in 44.3 overs. Their innings revolved around an unbeaten knock of 85 by their skipper Deepak Joon. He got his runs in just 96 balls with the help of 11 boundaries and one six. Nakul Sharma  29, Hiten Dalal 24, Reetinder Sodhi 22 were the other contributors with the bat. Siddharth Kaul 2 for 31 and Sarabjit Ladda  2 for 39 were the principal wicket takers for SBOP. Deepak Joon for his scintlating knock of 85 was named man of the match.

In the 3rd match played at DAV Sector 8 Chandigarh, which was reduced to 20 overs because of wet field. State Bank of Hyderabad won the toss and elected to bat and scored 92 for 6 in 20 overs. Jilla   21 and Ahmed Kadri 12 were the highest scorers for State Bank of Hyderabad. Pawan Negi 2 for 13 was the main wicket taker for Reliance – I. Reliance-I   scored 95 for 4 in 17.1 overs to record a six wicket win. Yogesh Nagar  41, Parthiv Patel 10, Rakesh Solanki  12 were the main scorers for Reliance-I.  Yogesh Nagar was named man of the match, Reliance got 4 points while State Bank of Hyderabad got  0.

In the 4th match played between PCA Colts and Indian Oil Corporation at Dhruv Pandove Stadium Patiala which was reduced to 31 overs because of wet outfield. PCA Colts winning the toss and opting to field restricted Indian Oil to 163 for 7 in 31 overs. Ravi Kant Shukla  28, Abbas Ali  24 were the main run getters for Indian Oil. Indian Oil  played without  Wasim Jaffer. Kamal Passi  2 for 31 and Yogesh Kumar 2 for 31 were the main wicket takers for PCA Colts. PCA Colts made a successful chase by scoring 174 for 3 in 29.4 overs. Sunny Sohal and Jeevanjot put on 87 for the first wicket in 15.4 overs before Jeevanjot was caught by wicket keeper Pinal Shah off Parish Patel for 45 off 51 balls inclusive of 3 boundaries. Thereafter Sunny Sohal in company of Gurkirat Walia added 49 runs for the 3rd wicket before Sunny Sohal was snapped by wicket keeper Pinal Shah off right arm medium pacer Anand Singh for 62 off 78 balls inclusive of 3 boundaries. PCA Colts won by 7 wickets and garnered 4 points while Indian Oil got 0. Sunny Sohal for his brilliant batting named man of the match award.
