Mumbai Indians all-rounder Krunal Pandya Tuesday said though they have done well in the season so far, the three-time IPL champions are not yet thinking about the play offs. While Delhi Capitals and Chennai Super Kings have booked the two slots for the playoffs, there is competition among five others teams for the remaining two positions. Currently, Mumbai Indians, are placed third with 14 points from 12 games and they take on Sunrises Hyderabad on Thursday at the Wankhede Stadium here. Indian Boxing League first edition in July-August

The franchise-based league for Indian boxers that has been in the works since 2017 will finally the see the light of the day tentatively in July-August this year, the Boxing Federation of India (BFI) announced Tuesday. The BFI had floated a tender for the commercial and organising rights for the pro-style league in 2017. It will run for a period of three weeks and will tentatively start in the end of July. “We are trying to organise it after the elections are over. In July-August,” said Atul Pande, Managing Director of Sportzlive, a Delhi-based sports management company that owns the rights of this league and the already-launched Premier Badminton League. SC directs Amrapali Group to reveal transactions with Dhoni

The Supreme Court has directed real estate group Amrapali to reveal all its transactions with MS Dhoni. Chennai Super Kings Dhoni and former team India captain has sued the company for ₹ 40 crore outstanding amount from his endorsement deal with the company. He has also accused the Amrapali Group of not giving him possession of a house despite taking payment for the property. Dhoni has also pleaded in the court that his name should be added to the company’s creditors list. More than 46,000 homebuyers have sued the company for not delivering the promised houses even after the payments were made. Kings XI Punjab co-owner Ness Wadia Ness has been sentenced two-year jail term in Japan over drug possession. The business tycoon was reportedly found in possession of drugs while on a skiing holiday in Japan. The Sapporo District Court handed him a two-year prison sentence, which was suspended for five years. BCCI to restructure junior cricket training programme: Report

The Board of Control for Cricket in India is working to overhaul the system of its grassroots and junior level training. The BCCI will also deviate from the conventional Zonal Cricket Academies format. The board is in the process of overhauling its existing coaching curriculum, national daily Times of India has reported. The move to do away with the Zonal Cricket Academies is aimed at preparations for the ICC Under-19 World Cup in South Africa next year. The changed strategy will see Rahul Dravid coming on board as the Head Coach at BCCI’s National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. The BCCI will reportedly also hire an education head to train coaching and training faculty. “The head (education) will deal with sports science and also update the coaches and trainers at NCA. This is a part of upgrading the coaching curriculum,” the paper has quoted a senior BCCI official as saying. The initial contract for the education head may be for six months on an experimental basis. It was reported
