Chandigarh Defence Accounts Department will be organising 7th All India Defence Accounts Department (DAD) table tennis tournament under the aegis of Defence Accounts Sports Control Board (DASCB) from September 1 to September 3 at the Table Tennis Hall, Sector 23, Chandigarh. Participants from twenty-three offices of Defence Accounts Department (DAD) from all over India- will be participating in both the men's and women's sections.
Carrom competition from today
chandigarh: The Chandigarh Carrom Association will conduct 22nd Chandigarh State Carrom Tournament at St Stephen's School, Sector 45, Chandigarh, from September 1. Competitions will take place in categories like men's and women's singles, boys and girls singles (Junior) and girls and boys singles (Sub-Junior). As many as 186 players will be taking part in the tournament.
St Xavier’s-44 are champions
chandigarh: Sunveer Singh scored the lone goal of the match as his effort helped St Xavier's School, Sector 44, Chandigarh, defeat St Stephen's School, Sector 45, by a solitary goal in the final and win the ICSE Inter School football championship for Chandigarh Region, at the St Stephen's School, Sector 45 Grounds. After failing to break the deadlock for the first thirty minutes of the match, Sunveer finally produced a clinical finish in the 40th minute of the match, that steered his team to title victory.
