Last years winnerS PCC were knocked out of the tournament as they lost to MPCA by three wickets. Winning the toss MPCA decided to field at PCA Stadium Mohali and restricted PCC to 228 for all in 48.1 overs. Manish Bhatia  42 off 53 balls with 5 boundaries and two sixes and Gurkirat Mann 57 off 68 balls with 5 boundaries  anchorED PCC to 162 for 5 in 36 overs. From there on  PCC lost the plot and were bowled out for 228 in 48.1 overs. Gaurav Yadav 3 for 47 , Rameez Khan  3 for 45 and Amarjit Singh  2 for 39 did most of the damage for MPCA.
MPCA who needed to win with a bonus to stay aloft in the tournament were able to achieve the target on the last ball of the 40th over.  They were 229 for 7 in 40 over to claim 5 points including a bonus. Anand Singh  69 off 70 balls with 7 boundaries and one six led the MPCA charge which also got him the man of the match award.  He was ably supported by Salman Beg 39 off 22 balls inclusive of 2 boundaries and two huge sixes. Rameez Khan 34, Amithpal 23 and Udit Birla 21 were the other contributor with the bat. Rajwinder Golu  3 for 51 and Harmeet Bansal 2 for 68 were the main wicket takers for PCC.  With this win MPCA ended the league stage with 6 points in Pool B to occupy the second position behind DDCA.

In the 2nd match played at GMSSS Sector 26 between DDCA and Maruti Suzuki, DDCA won by 2 wickets to post an exciting win with one balls to spare and climbed up to top position in Pool B with 10 points. Winning the toss Maruti Suzuki lost their opener Sunny Singh with the team’s total reading 21. Thereafter Mayank Aggarwal and Amardeep Soankar put on 124 runs for the 2nd wicket in 18.1 overs to take the total to 145 for 2. Mayank Aggarwal departed being caught by Kaushik off Kshitiz for 88 off 71 balls inclusive of 11 boundaries and two huge sixes. Thereafter Sangram Singh and Amardeep Singh Sonkar added 47 runs for the 3rd wicket before Sangram Singh was castled by Manan Sharma for 22. Nitish Rana accounted for Amardeep Sonkar by clean bowling him for 83 off 88 balls with 9 boundaries and one six. Skipper Yash Pal Singh also added a quick fire 47 off 45 balls with four boundaries and one six before being caught by Rawal off Rishit Saini. Maruti Suzuki Innings ended at 291 for 9 in 50 overs. Rishit Saini 3 for 55 and Manan Sharma 2 for 60 were the main wicket takers for DDCA.
Replying DDCA scored 292 for 8 in 49.5 overs. Nitish Rana  45 , Arjun Gupta  68, Kshitiz Sharma 41 contributed to the team’s total. At one stage DDCA were 269 for 8 in 47.5 overs. Then Varun Sood unbeaten 34 and Sunny Sherawat unbeaten 11 added 23 runs in 2 overs to take their team to an exciting two wickets win. Amardeep Sonkar  4 for 50, Jatinder Billa 2 for 40 and Abhishek Sakhuja 2 for 53 were the main wicket takers for Maruti Suzuki. Amardeep Sonkar was named man of the match for his brilliant knock of 88 runs and 4 wickets.

In the 3rd match played at DAV School Sector 8, BPCL defeatedAll India FCI by 31 runs to take the top position in Pool A with 10 points. Winning the toss BPCL opted to bat and scored 214 for 9 in 50 overs. K.Onkar  61 off 92 balls, and N.Sorabh unbeaten 37 off 30 balls sustained the BPCL innings. For FCI B.Amit  2 for 48 R.Bisht 2 for 37 and T.Pankaj 2 for 39 shared the spoils. T.Bhavin and K.Onkar shared an opening partnership of 74 runs in 19.2 overs.

Replying FCI were bowled out for 183 in 46.1 overs. H.Vikash 62 off 82 balls and S. Dahiya  57 off 72 balls were the principal run getters for FCI. H.Vikash and S.Dahiya shared a partnership of 59 runs for the 6th wicket. B.Rajesh  3 for 23 A.Kiran 4 for 22, S.Bahutule  2 for 34 were the main wicket takers for BPCL.
K.Onkar was named man of the match.

In the 4th match played at Dhruv Pandove Stadium Patiala PCA Colts routed Baroda by 74 runs to garner 5 points including a bonus.  Winning the toss Baroda put PCA Colts to bat. PCA Colts started with Sunny Sohal and Jeevanjot Singh and the duo put on 46 runs for the 1st wicket before Sunny Sohal was trapped in front by S.Singh for 26. Jeevanjot and Himanshu Chawla then put on 90 runs for the 2nd wicket before Himanshu Chawla was trapped in front by A.Karambeikar for 57 off 65 balls with three boundaries and one six. Gurkirat Walia and Jeevanjot Singh then put on 76 runs for the 3rd wicket before Jeevanjot was cleaned up by Meriwala for 89. Gurkirat Walia remained unbeaten on 83 off 59 balls studded with 3 boundaries and 5 huge sixes. PCA Colts innings ended at 283 for 3 in 50 overs.
Replying Baroda were 209 for 7 in 50 overs. Monil Patel 31,Swapnil Singh 25, Jagnesh Sapkal unbeaten 78 and Krunal Pandaya 34 unbeaten were the main contributors for Baroda. For PCA Colts  Yogesh Kumar 3 for 21 and Deepak  Bansal 2 for 43 were the main wicket takers. PCA Colts won by 74 runs. Gurkirat Walia for his quick fire unbeaten 83 was named man of the match. With this win PCA Colts moved into the quarter finals with 8 points

The league stage completed today and the knock out round starts tomorrow with the first quarter final to be played between BPCL and Air India at Sector 16 Stadium Chandigarh and the 2nd quarter final will be between DDCA  and PCA Colts at PCA Stadium Mohali. Both the matches will start at 9.15 a.m. The other four teams which have entered the quarter final are Reliance-I, MPCA, ONGC and CAG.
