CHANDIGARH, AUG 25
Rain once again played spoil sport in the local matches at Chandigarh and Mohali. Overnight showers had left some wet patches in the grounds which resulted in calling off play at PCA Stadium Mohali and GMSSS Sector 26 without a ball being bowled. 
Chandigarh got 3 points for their first innings lead while Patiala logged one point. In the second match Mohali and Jalandhar shared one point each as the first innings could not be completed due weather interference which resulted in loss of play of more than 90 overs.
In the third match played at Gandhi Grounds Amritsar between Ludhiana and Amritsar, Ludhiana in their second innings scored 277 for 6 at the end of the match. Their innings was sustained by a blistering unbeaten century 118 not out off 210 balls studded with 15x4s and 1x6 by Anil Sihag and another fruitful innings of 81 off 110 balls inclusive of 9x4s and 1x6 by wicket keeper Gitansh Khera.  Vinay Chaudhary 3 for 80 was the most successful bowler for Amritsar. Ludhiana got 3 points for their first innings lead of 87 runs while Amritsar got one point.
Brief Scores: Ludhiana: 248 all out in 94 overs and 277 for 6 in 90 overs (Anil Sihag  118 not out, Gitansh Khera  81, Vinay Chaudhary  3 for 80).
Amritsar:  161 all out in 58.4 overs.
 At the end of the 2nd round the points table is as under : Chandigarh   :   6 points, Ludhiana :   4 points, Patiala:   4 points, Jalandhar :   2 points, Amritsar: 4 points, Mohali :    2 points.
