Third seed Abhinav upsets top seed Love Kumar

Third seed Abhinav Manota of Jalandhar toppled top seed Love Kumar on the concluding day of Carlton Punjab State Senior Badminton Championships in Rai Zada Hans Raj Stadium, here today. Abhinav Manota defeated Love Kumar by 20-22, 22-20, 21-14 in the men’s singles final.
 In the women singles top seed Damanpreet Kaur  of Sangrur outplayed Shehnaz Kahn of Jalandhar in straight two sets 21-12, 21-7. In the doubles Damanpreet with Neelam Kumar of SBS Nagar beat Dilpreet Kaur and Rachita Sehdev of Jalandhar 21-19, 21-15.
 In the mixed doubles final, Love Kumar took the revenge by defeating Abhinav and Rachita 14-21, 21-16, 21-16 with his partner Damanpreet Kaur.  In men’s doubles Raj Kumar of Ludhiana and Harinder Singh Patiala defeated Abhianv Manota Jalandhar and Anand Tiwari and of Ludhiana 21-19,21-15.

Women’s doubles: Damanpreet & Neelam  (Sang, SBSN)  bt Raachita & Dilpreet   (Jal)   21-19, 21-15.       
Mixed doubles: Love & Damanpreet  (Jal,Sang)  bt  Abhinav & Rachita  (Jal) 14-21, 21-16, 21-16.
