SUKHBIR BADAL RELEASES ‘AKHIN VEKHIAN OLYMPIC KHEDAN’ BOOK WRITTEN BY NAVDEEP GILL

CHANDIGARH, July 26:

Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal today released a book titled “Akhin Vekhian Olympic Khedan” written by young sports writer Navdeep Singh Gill here at his office in Punjab Civil Secretariat.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Chief Minister congratulated Navdeep Gill for his unique effort and expressed confidence that he would make significant contribution in promotion of sports culture in the state through his sports writings in future also. He reiterated the state government’s commitment to make Punjab No.1 state on the sports scenario of the Country. On this occasion Punjab Forests & Labour Minister Mr. Surjit Kumar Jyani also lauded the sports writer’s effort. It may be mentioned here that this book has been published by Lok Geet Parkashan and the writer presented his experiences of the coverage of Bejing Olympics in a simple but lucid manner.
