Gurkirat Mann’s Century (136) off 154 balls with 13x4s and 3x6s went in vain as Mohali conceded 34 runs first innings lead to Amritsar in the Punjab Inter-District Cricket Tournament for Katoch Shield at Gandhi Grounds in Amritsar. The match started at 10.45 a.m due to overnight rain.  Mohali were bowled out for 279 in 93.3 overs. Gurkirat Mann  136 along with Shine Sharma  32 put on 137 runs for the 6thwicket.  Vinay Chaudhary  5 for 92 and Bharat Lumba  4 for 48 were the pick of Amritsar bowlers. Amritsar were 12 for no loss at close of 3rd day's play.
 The match between Chandigarh and Ludhiana was also truncated because of wet ground conditions and only 33 overs could be bowled in the day wherein Chandigarh lost their overnight player Amit Prashar for 87 while the other overnight unbeaten batsman Gurkirat Walia went on to complete a sedate century 108 unbeaten off 298 balls with 15 boundaries while Bipul Sharma hit an unbeaten 52 off 111 balls with four fours and one six. Chandigarh were 337 for 5 at close of 3rd days play. Baltej Singh 4 for 54 was the most successful bowler for Ludhiana.
 In the 3rd match at GMSSS Sector 26, Patiala were bowled out for 336 in 98.4 overs. Himanshu Chawla  95 with 12 boundaries and three sixes and Jeevanjot  88 with 12 boundaries relised  156 runs for the 4th wicket. Preetkamal  55 off 90 balls with 6 boundaries and one six was the other notable contributor with the bat. Patiala took a vital 63 runs first innings lead. Ishan Malhotra  4 for 47 and Navdeep Singh 3 for 54 and Rahul Sharma  1 for 103 were the successful bowlers for Jalandhar.
Replying Jalandhar were 128 for 6 in 38 overs at close of 3rd days play.  Pagat Singh  48 off 81 balls with 5 boundaries and Taruwar Kohli  52 off 105 balls with 6 boundaries and one six were the notable contributors with the bat for Jalandhar. Rajwinder Golu 3 for 35 and Sarabjit Ladda 2 for 19 were the main successful bowlers for Patiala. Tomorrow is the last day of the matches.
