An enspired spell of 14.5-1-45-5 by left arm spinner Gurinder Singh and  7-1-24-3 by left arm medium pacer Ajay Dlal of Chandigarh sent Patiala packing for paltery total of 117 in 41.5 overs at Govt. Model Senior Sec. School, Sector 26, Chandigarh Ground. Due to heavy rain in the overnight the match started late at 12.40 p.m.  Chandigarh won the toss and elected to field first. In reply Chandigarh were 21 for 1 in 10 overs at close of first days play. Sarul Kanwar 13, Vishwas Bhalla not out (4) and Simrat Bawa not out (6) were at the crease.

Due to heavy overnight showers and wet ground conditions, the match between Mohali and Jalandhar could not be started at PCA Stadium Mohali however the match will resume tomorrow on day 2 at 9.30 a.m.
