Navjot Singh Sidhu to Head Technical Cum Coaching Committee of PCA

The Executive Committee oF Punjab Cricket Association in its first meeting held at PCA Cricket Stadium, Mohali formed various sub-committee for effective running of cricketing affairs. Mr. Navjot Singh Sidhu former Test Player and member Parliament was named Chairman of the Technical and Coaching Committee which would be advising the association on various technical matters connected with the smooth and effective running of cricket in the state of Punjab. Mr. Navjot Singh Sidhu who had played all his cricket for Punjab would be a great inspiration and motivation for overseeing the technical and coaching aspects of the association.  He has Mr. Chaman Lal Malhotra and Mr. Vinod Sharma former captains of Punjab to assist him.

According to Mr. Sushil Kapoor spokesperson PCA, Mr. Chaman Lal Malhotra was nominated Chairman of Senior and Under-25 selection while Mr. Pankaj Dharmani Chairman of Selection Committee Junior for U-14,U-16 and U-19.  Mr. G.S. Walia was nominated Chairman, Women Cricket Committee and Mr. Satish Kakkar Chairman of Tournament and Fixture Committee.  The Ground and Wickets Committee is headed by Mr. Daljit Singh while Minor District Committee is headed by Mr. B.K. Mehta. 

Mr. Viswajeet Khanna, Hony. Treasurer, PCA presented the budget for 2012-2013 which was unanimously approved after the treasurer had explained the various parameters of Budget. The Executive also approved the appointment of Internal Auditors for the current year i.e. 2012-2013.

Punjab is to play four home Rannji Trophy matches and the decision about the venue will be taken after consultation with the Cricket Manager and Coaches.
