Sports Talent Scholarship for outstanding players

Chandigarh: The Sports Department, Chandigarh Administration has decided to allow Sports Talent Scholarship to the outstanding players who have represented Union Territory, Chandigarh during the year 2011-12 and attained the 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions in the recognized games, i.e. Athletic, Archery, Badminton, Basketball, Billiards/ Snookers, Boxing, Cricket, Canoeing, Cycling, Football, Golf, Gymnastics, Hockey, Handball, Judo ,Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Lawn Tennis, Rifle Shooting, Rowing, Sailing/ Yachting, Skating, Skiing, Swimming, Softball, Squash, Table Tennis, Taekwondo, Volleyball, Wrestling & Weightlifting.
Application forms can be obtained from the office of the District Sports Officer U.T., Chandigarh at Sports Complex, Sector-42, Chandigarh. The application forms have also been sent The Principals of Colleges in U.T. Chandigarh, The District Education Officer, U.T., Chandigarh, The Secretaries of State Sports Associations in U.T., Chandigarh, and The Director Sports (Men & Women) Panjab University.

The last date for the receipt of application forms is fixed for is 30th September, 2012 by all means. Incomplete applications and the application received after the due date will not be entertained. These application forms should be deposited in the office of the Director Sports, U.T., Chandigarh at Sports Complex, Sector-42, Chandigarh during 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on all working days.  The above said form is also available on web site of the Chandigarh Administration i.e.       http:// www.chandigarh.nic.in/
