SDDIET - Barwala downs Chd Eng College - Landra to reach semifinal

Swami Devi Dayal Institute of Engineering and technology - Barwala beats Chandigarh Engineering College - Landra by 8 wickets to become the 3rd team to reach semifinal stage of the above 20-20 cricket cup tournament being played at Divya Public School -44, Chd to subtly nudge at the conscious of public against BRIBERY.

CEC won the toss and elected to bat first. There 1st wicket fell on the 2nd ball of the inning when Hemant was out for a duck on the 1st ball he faced caught by Himanshu in the covers of Lovedeep. Wickets of CEC-Landra kept on falling at regular intervals and entire team folded up 65 runs in 15.1 overs. Shubham Mahajan (21), Hardik (19) and Abhishek Verma (14) n.o. were the only ones to reach double figures. Himashu Varma 4/3 and Ashish 2/13 were main wicket takers.

SDDIET- Barwala achieved the target for the loss of 2 wickets in 10.2 overs. Sandeep Singh 30 and Manjit Nain 23 n.o. being the main scorer. 

Himanshu Verma for his excellent bowling was declared Man of the Match.

Brief Scores: CEC-Landra 65 all out in 15.1 over. Shubham Mahajan 21, Hardik 19, Abhishek Verma 14 n.o. Himanshu Varma 4/3, Ashish 2/13 and 1 wicket each for Saurabh, Manjit and Lovedeep for 8, 9 and 15 runs respectively.
