Expands grassroots coaching programme by partnering with Doon Public School to professionalize sports
coaching and curriculum

Panchkula. TENVIC, the Bangalore based sports consultancy company started by
Anil Kumble, Vasanth Bharadwaj and Diinesh Kumble, has tied up with Doon Public School, panchkula to
provide students professional coaching in Cricket, Chess and Table Tennis as part of the sports
curriculum. The programme was launched on October 10th, 2012 in the presence of Aakash Chopra,
former International Cricketer and GM for TENVIC’s North operations. The unique programme combines
a structured and scientific methodology with an engaging approach aimed at improving their sports
performance.

TENVIC’s “Grassroots Sports” initiative engages icons who have played the sport at the highest level.
Personalities such as cricketer VVS Laxman, table tennis player Achanta Sharath Kamal, former
badminton player Prakash Padukone and chess player D V Prasad have guided TENVIC towards
identifying sports related training needs in the country. The professionally qualified coaches come from
equally strong sporting backgrounds and have been trained using suitable scientific methodologies
developed keeping in mind the children they would be working with.

<Sanjay anand>, principal of Doon Public School, panchkula, “Sports offers significant learnings for all
walks of life, which is why we believe it should be an integral part of every child’s daily routine. By
providing professional coaching facilities in a structured yet fun manner at the school level itself, we
intend to lay a strong foundation early on in the child’s life. These lessons would go a long way in helping
them achieve their full potential in their chosen careers, be it in sports or any other profession.”

Despite immense sporting potential and talent, Indian sports lacks the support of a strong ecosystem at
the grassroots. Thus, our country of more than a billion people struggles to produce more than a handful
of world class players. TENVIC intends to play a big role in addressing this by introducing a new level of
professional focus to sports coaching. With its grassroots sports programme, the Bangalore based
company aims to tie up with over 80 schools in the coming months, impacting more than 6,500 children.

TENVIC has been successfully running its grassroots sports programme as part of multiple school
curriculums across the country including Shishya, SG International and Woodrose Club in Bangalore, The
Heritage School in Gurgaon, Basava International School and Ryan International School in Delhi etc.
With the Doon Public School tie-up, TENVIC has further expanded its program into Panchkula and
Chandigarh.

About TENVIC
TENVIC was founded in Bangalore in 2010 by former Indian Cricket Team Captain, Anil Kumble, former
Indian Table Tennis champion, Vasanth Bharadwaj and sports entrepreneur, Diinesh Kumble. A shared
passion for sports and a common desire to improve the sporting ecosystem in India by moving it away
from its current unorganized state to a more structured one led to the birth of this unique venture. By
leveraging the immense potential that sport offers as a platform for training, learning and building brands,

TENVIC has pioneered the concept of learning from sport to add value to corporations, sportspeople and
children in India.

TENVIC has three verticals. The first is a grassroots coaching program fashioned in a structured and
systematic way for children to learn a sport of their choice. The second is a learning framework based on
sport for organizational training and sportsperson mentoring. The third is a brand building and property
creation offering which enables brands to leverage the universal language of sport to communicate and
connect with their consumers.
