Defending champion Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy (MPHA), Chandigarh and Punjab moved into the quarterfinals of the National junior women’s hockey championship at the Motilal Nehru School of Sports Complex, Rai, on Wednesday.
Punjab thrashed Uttarakhand 10-0 to qualify from Pool G. Kulwinder Kaur and Anu Bala struck three goals each in Punjab’s third win.
MPHA topped Pool A with a 10-0 victory over Andhra Pradesh, while Chandigarh defeated Bihar 4-0 in Pool C.

Mathulya 6, C. Suchithra 2, V. Bijina, K. Aiswaraya) bt Assam 0. Pool E: Maharashtra 7 (Pooja Bhoyar 4, Pratiksha Harne, Nikhat Shaikh, Krishna Patel) bt Goa 0. Pool G:Punjab 10 (Kulwinder Kaur 3, Anu Bala 3, Gurjit Kaur 2, Navjot Kaur, Pramjit Kaur) bt Uttarakhand 0.
