Sharmila, Lahiri lead teams to wins in Celebrity Putting and Pro-Am

Bengaluru, October 17: Local professionals Sharmila Nicollet and Anirban Lahiri led their teams to superb wins in the Celebrity Putting Challenge and the Hero Pro-Am at the KGA on Wednesday.

Sharmila, a Brand Ambassador of Hero, a player in Ladies European tour, had Mr. Pawan Munjal, Managing Director and CEO of Hero MotoCorp, and Ms Gitanjali Kirloskar as her teammates in the Putting competition. Each of them had single putts twice each as they beat the team Brazilian pro Adilson Da Silva, Mr. Dilip Thomas and Mr. Arnaud Laborde to the second place.

In the morning Pro-Am, Anirban Lahiri’s teammates were Mr. Arvind Wable, Mr. Ajay Kumar Gopal and Mr. Indur Hirani. The second placed team was led by Peter Hanson, whose amateur colleagues were Mr. Sunil Sawhney, Mr. Karan Singh Thandi and Mr. Nawin Raheja. The third place went to pro Darren Beck and his teammates Mr. Mohit Karan Gupta, Mr. Kanwaljit Singh and Mr.  KJ Kuruvilla.

The ‘nearest-to-the-pin’ contest was won by Mr. Sanjay Goel and the ‘Long Drive’ was won by Mr.  Sharan Laxmanan.

The prizes included TaylorMade clubs and bags, Leather Overnighters from The Leather Boutique and bottles Ballantine.
