Incisive Spell by Vinay Chaudhary for Punjab Against Vidarbha 

In the 2nd All India U-19 Invitation Tournament for Dhruv Pandove Trophy Punjab disposed off Vidarbha for 178 in 56.4 overs at Dhruv Pandove Stadium Patiala.  Left Arm Spinner Vinay Chaudhary tore through the heart of Vidarbha’s innings by snaring 6 wickets for 74 off 18.4 overs. Winning the toss and electing to bat Vidarbha kept on losing wickets at regular intervals. Their innings was sustained by Sachin Kataria 30, Mayank Gupta  31, Narinder Ingle  32, Jitesh Sharma 26.
Replying Punjab Scored 149 for 4 in 41 overs at close of first days play. Unbeaten knocks of 72 by Rohan Marwaha  and 49 by Mohit Handa were the highlights of Punjab innings. Punjab infact at one stage were looking down the barrel with 56 for 4 in 15.4 overs  before an unbroken stand of 93 runs for the 5th wicket steadied the innings. Shubam Kapse  2 for 22, was the main wicket taker for Vidarbha.

In the 2nd match played at PCA Stadium Mohali between Mumbai and Kerala, Mumbai won the toss and opted to bat.  They were bowled out for 277 in 91.4 overs.  Akhil Harwadekar  46, and Sarfraz Khan unbeaten 104 anchored the Mumbai innings.  Akhil who opened the innings hit five boundaries and one six in his innings of 46 off 71 balls. Sarfraz Khan kept one end up as Mumbai were losing wickets regularly at the other end. Sarfraz went on to complete his unbeaten century off 168 balls studded with 7 boundaries and 1 six. For Kerala medium pacer Godson Loui  3 for 53, Vishnu Babu  2 for 45 Midhun PK 2 for 43 and Shivraj S   2 for 53 were the main wicket takers.
Kerala were 33 for 1 in 6 overs when the stumps were drawn for the day. Vishnu Vinod was the only batsman out being caught by Mali off Vikas Singh for 21 off  14 balls  inclusive of 3 boundaris and one six. Vikas Singh claimed 1 for 9.

In the 3rd match played at Sector 16 Stadium Orissa batting first against Bengal were bowled out for 196 in 78.3 overs. Arya Bhatt 43, Suvendu Samal  24, Ankit Yadav  23 being the main run getters for Orissa. Suman Devnath  4 for 69 and Alok Partap Singh 3 for 33 did most of the damage for Bengal. Replying Bengal were  55 for 1 in 21 overs at close of first days play.

In the 4th match between MPCA and HPCA played at DAV School Sector 8, MPCA Scored 296 for 9 in 100 overs. A Tiwari  83 and B.Abhishek 86 not out shared 6th wicket stand of 162 runs. Tiwari was trapped in front by B.Akash for 83 off 193 balls studded with 6 boundaries and one six while B.Abhishek’s unbeaten knock of 86 came off 196 balls inclusive of 9 boundaries.  J.Pankaj 4 for 55 and B.Akash  3 for 50 were the main wicket takers for HPCA.
