Women’s T20 World Cup LIVE: India seek second successive win

Indian girls will seek their second successive win as they take on Bangladesh in the ICC 2020 Women’s T20 World Cup match at the West Australia Cricket Association ground in Perth today (Monday).

Harmanpreet Kaur led team has started their World Cup with an exciting win over hosts Australia in the low-scoring World Cup opener on in Sydney on Friday. However, the Indian girls cannot take their Asian neighbours lightly as the Bangladesh have beaten them twice in the 2018 Asia Cup.

They will also have concerns about their batting as in the first match against Australia, the 17-run win was primarily crafted by Poonam Yadav, striking four wickets for a mere 19 rums, after the top Indian batting order had failed to start good starts into big scores, except for Deepti Sharma. Deepti had propelled India to a fighting 132 four with her 46-ball 49.

It will be interesting to see how two leading batters in the Indian camp, skipper Harmanpreet and Smriti Mandhana will be eyeing big scores. If they click, India won’t face much trouble in dealing with Bangaldesh.

Bangladesh will be playing their first match of the tournament.
