Sports Business : ONE Championship lands AXN as broadcast partner for reality series

ONE Championship, the Singapore-based mixed martial arts promotion, has named AXN, the pay-TV channel owned by Sony Pictures Television, as the official broadcast partner for its reality series ‘The Apprentice: ONE Championship Edition’.

AXN will have rights to the show in several countries across the southeast Asia region. As well as AXN, the promotion has agreed rights deals with several broadcasters in other Asian countries, including Mediacorp (Singapore), Abema (Japan), KompasTV (Indonesia), LINE TV (Thailand), TV5 Network (Philippines) and HTV (Vietnam).

The series will see 16 contestants from around the world compete in several business and physical challenges with the winner to receive a $250,000 job offer to work directly under chairman and chief executive Chatri Sityodtong for a year in Singapore.

Sports Business : ONE Championship Announces New Philippine Media Distribution Deal

ONE Championship and Cignal TV, the leading Pay TV provider in the Philippines, and TV5, one of the largest free-to-air television networks in the Philippines, announced a partnership to include the world’s most exciting martial arts action as well as a variety of sports and entertainment content verticals.

The partnership kicks off with the broadcast of ONE: NO SURRENDER, a live closed-door, audience-free event held in Bangkok, Thailand, scheduled for 31 July 2020.
