IPL 2020 Schedule : Announcement of IPL 2020 schedule may get delayed further

The unfortunate development around the CSK team will also peg BCCI back in their preparations for the smooth conduct of IPL 2020. The schedules of IPL 2020 are already awaited for a long time and now it may get delayed further according to a report by TOI.

The IPL 2020 is just 20 days and it was expected that the much delayed schedule will be announced on Saturday. The IPL Governing Council Chairman Brijesh Patel currently in Dubai also had confirmed to InsideSport that the schedules will be released before Sunday. But now according to a report by TOI claims that IPL 2020 schedules and fixtures announcement may get delayed further due to unfortunate turn of events in the CSK camp.

“Adequate measures are in place to tackle the situation and there is no immediate threat to the tournament. But the announcement of fixtures has been delayed because of this development,” a top BCCI source told TOI.

CSK were the only team that underwent a camp in India prior to departure for Dubai. It is understood that the BCCI had expressed its concerns about the camp, with some officials even getting in touch with the CSK management and asking them to cancel it.

“Senior BCCI officials had cautioned the CSK management about the risks of holding such a camp in India,” a BCCI source said.
