WILD CARD ENTRIES ANNOUNCED FOR ITF JUNIOR GRADE TOURNAMENT

CHANDIGARH, January 04, 2013

ITF Juniors Circuit (Grade-3) for boys and girls under-18 years will be conducted by

Chandigarh Lawn Tennis Association (CLTA) in its Tennis Stadium, Sector-10, Chandigarh

from January 07 to January 12, 2013. The Qualifying matches for this event will be played

on January 05 and January 06, 2013. Entries for the important tournament have started

pouring in. These are coming from top ranked boys and girls from 23 countries. Today was

the sign in deadline for boys Singles qualifying and Girls singles qualifying.

The tournament’s Director is Dr Jasjit Singh, Hony Secy, CLTA while the Referee

is Ms Leena Nageshkar. Wild card entries were today announced for both qualifying and

main draw matches. In qualifying boys, 6 players have been given the wild card. These are

Tejas Kapoor(AITA), Ankush Arora(AITA), Dhruv Pal(AITA), Pranav Suri(CLTA), Sultan

Singh Atwal(CLTA) and Rahul Seth(CLTA). In the girls segment Nandini Sharma and Aastha

Malhotra both CLTA have been given the wild card.

In the main draw Boys Vikas Berwal-AITA, Sachin Kumar-AITA,Ranjeet Singh-CLTA

and Digvijay Singh Naruka-CLTA have been handed out wild cards. In girls Isha Budwal-

AITA, Aayushree Bildhaiya-AITA, Bhavya Wadhawan-CLTA and Gayatri Kumaraih-CLTA

have been a wild card entry.

The tournament will be inaugurated by Shri V.K. Singh, IAS, Finance and Sports

Secretary, Union Territory, Chandigarh at 1000 hours on Monday, January 07, 2013, in

CLTA, Tennis Stadium, Sector-10, Chandigarh.
