On the penultimate day of the ongoing l.d. kapoor memorial total tennis championship being played
at total tennis academy ymca sector-11 chandigarh manjot singh emerged as winner in the men’s
category . manjot singh out-classed his arch rival parminder singh in straight sets . manjot singh
displayed his class as he didn’t give parminder singh any opportunity to take a lead and bounce back
into the match at any stage . manjot singh won the first set 6-2 and the second set as well with the same
score 6-2.

In the boys u-10 final pranav chopra was strecthed to three sets before emerging winner in the boys
u-10 bracket . pranav lost the first set to neel 6-4 . however didn’t lose hope and he held his nerve to
bounce back into the match . pranav chopra won the second set 7-5 to level the match score at 1-1 . in
the final set pranav chopra and neel singh fought till the very last point and pranav chopra smashed a
forehand to win the set and wrapped up the match 4-6,7-5,6-4.

In the boys u-12 final shshikant ousted sehaj in another tough encounter which lasted over 80 minutes .

Shashikant won the match in straight sets with a score of 7-5 , 6-1

In the boys u-14 category aniket khosa defeated karan bhalla in another lop-sided affair . aniket khosa
triumphed 6-2,6-2

In the boys u-16 final sachit malhotra of dps school ended the dream run of manjot singh to win twin
titles . sachit malhotra won the match 2-6,6-1,6-1.

In the girls u-12 bracket harleen kaur of total tennis academy manav mangal smart school phase 10
mohali defeated ravita in straight sets with the score of 6-1,6-3

Shshikant bt sehaj punj 7-5,6-1

Boys u-14 final :

Men’s final :

Manjot singh bt parminder singh 6-2,6-2

Girls u-12 final :

Harleen kaur bt ravita 6-1,6-3
