The focuswould be to prepare good cricketing wickets which would have something foreveryone i.e. fast bowlers, spin bowlers and the batsmen. He said that it hadbeen seen that Indian Team’s performance abroad had not been very encouraging, becauseback at home the tendency was to shy away from making fast and bouncy tracks.  He said that this vast country had differenttypes of soils which would make the character of wickets in different centres invarianceto each other like the western part of the country has red soil whereassouthern and northern parts have the black soil.

He hopedthat this course will go a long way in updating the knowledge of the curatorsand will help them to make better pitches and grounds in their respectivecentres, which in turn will be a great help in enhancing the performance of thecricketers in the domestic circuit particularly the bowlers. He was sure thatthe Curator’s Certification would also give an opportunity to those, who clearthis in terms of financial gain and recognition.
