Surekha threatens to move court over Khel Ratna 'snub'

Jyothi Surekha Vennam, India's World No. 1 compound archer, expresses deep disappointment at being ignored for the Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna award this year despite her exceptional performance at the Asian Games. Surekha has won 13 international medals in the last six months, including three golds at the Asiad. She has a total of 148.74 points, the highest among all applicants, making her case for the award even stronger. Surekha seeks an explanation from the sports ministry and Sports Authority of India (SAI) for her omission.
