German cybersecurity firm WardWiz signs Dhoni as Brand Ambassador

Iconic Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni will be the brand ambassador for the German cybersecurity company WardWiz.

The Chennai Super Kings champion captain and veteran cricketer Dhoni has inked a three-year deal with WardWiz. Dhoni himself has shared the news on his official twitter handle @msdhoni7781.

Business News daily Economic Times has reported the three-year brand endorsement deal to be worth ₹ 15 crores.

“I am very excited to be associated with WardWiz that has always been displayed as the booster and one-stop shop in complete security for personal computers and mobile,” Dhoni said after signing the deal. “I am working closely with them on my ideas too.”

WardWiz India CEO Abhijeet Khot said that Dhoni shares the same missionary zeal and is a true portrayal of the company’s vision for being sprightly and successful. “Our association is the right fit with many common factors and I am sure this alliance will emphasise the factor that the brand is the best choice for our patrons,” Khot said. “We believe we have embarked on a journey and with him on board and we are even more excited about the road that lies ahead. Sports management company Aarka Sports swung the deal for Dhoni.”

WardWiz, which offers security solution products for both PCs and mobiles, is looking to expand its portfolio in the Indian market.

Before WardWiz, Dhoni had signed a similar 3-year deal with Pune-based Indigo Paints for an undisclosed amount and had picked up a 25% stake in sports tech startup Run Adam for being a mentor and brand ambassador for the company.
