Compound archery to make historic Olympic debut at LA28

Compound archery will make its Olympic debut at the 2028 Los Angeles Games with the inclusion of the mixed team event. This historic decision marks the first addition of a new bowstyle since 1972, giving global recognition to compound archers and expanding the Olympic archery programme to six medal events.
