Bismah Maroof steps down as Pakistan women's team captain

Following a disastrous T20 World Cup campaign in South Africa last month, Bismah Maroof on Wednesday stepped down as Pakistan Women skipper. Under Maroof, Pakistan failed to move beyond the first round in the recently concluded cricketing extravaganza. The team lost 3 of the four group games, including a thriller against arch-rivals India. All-rounder Maroof led the Pakistan side for nearly six years.
