IPL 2019: Synchronized Light Show for the CSK-RR match

The Chepauk Stadium on Sunday (March 31) will be lit with a synchronised light show as hosts Chennai Super Kings take on SunRisers Hydrabad.

Spectators at the Chepauk stadium for defending champions Chennai Super Kings’ second home game in the 2019 VIVO Indian Premier League season, against Rajasthan Royals, on Sunday will be able to participate in the synchronized light show to display their support for the Lions.

All that is required to take part in the dazzling spectacle is the use of the Chennai Super Kings app, which the fans need tokeep open on their smart phones at the stadium.

The ultrasound data that has been merged with the CSK anthem and CSK’s official Whistle Podu theme song, along with a few popular Tamil film songs, will spread through the stadium speakers which will then be decoded by the CSK app to synchronize the flashlights of all the phones.

Smart phones that have the CSK app open at the stadium will vibrate ahead of every Synchronized Light Show. The fans needto hold up the phone and keep the flash facing the ground once the phone vibrates.

It is the first time that the Internet of Sound technology is being used in a sporting event of this magnitude in the country.Incredibly fast Wi-Fi connectivity is provided by CSK’s official internet partner, ACT Fibernet, at the Chepauk stadium.

The fans in the stadium will be able to connect to free Wi-Fi to download the CSK app.

The Lions, who have won both their matches this season, are gunning for a record fourth IPL crown after bagging their third in their seventh appearance in the final last season to level with Mumbai Indians for most titles in the competition.
